( show )

The first 17 songs, from "the power in question" to "doodamental", are from Thursday night, 13 August 2015. It's the explosion of getting together for the first time since 2009. We set up in Jon's loft and jumped right on it.

The next 6 songs, from "evolve quickly" to "turn down the strange song", were from a session Saturday afternoon, 15 August 2015. The last 6 songs, from "blizzard oasis (part 2)" to "bananas" are from Saturday night.

Friday night, we sat around the bonfire in Jon's yard and used a voice recorder to capture the album Magma Complaint Department.

Overview:
The mid-'90s Voyager reunion improv sessions inspired EBA to do the same and add members to become Killer Whirlpool. So, naturally, when Pete D came back, Killer Whirlpool + Voyager = Killer Voyage. This is a super collaboration of dudes dedicated to the magic of improvised music. The Voyager core has played together for more than 30 years. It gets telepathic. It gets pathetic. It gets wild. It gets inspired.
