Like last week, this song is from a session out at Jon's place on April 20, 1996, released on the album synapses. Jon's drums are thundering in his big living room, and if comments between songs are to be believed, there was an electrical storm dancing around the neighborhood, too. This one gets a good groove going and the guitar riff almost makes up for the absence of bass.

Thanks for listening!

synapses

I tell you
there's only two of us
but we're gonna try
gonna try
and make a lot of noise
I know it's just the two of us but
we're going to try

going to try
going to try my best
going to try and
try my best

gonna try my best
to tell you about the lightning
gonna try
about the spark between my lips
and my mind
jumping on the synapse
tripping cross the synapse
we're all different frequencies
different polarizations
chemically charged
it's coming across the gaps
coming across the gaps

gonna make a lot of noise
gonna make a lot of noise
gonna make a lot of noise
gonna make it

gonna try
and make a lot of noise
gonna
gonna try to tell you about
the look in that dog's eye
gonna try
to tell you 'bout
the way the weather
made me feel
