I got a new audio interface for simple two-track recordings, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. This was a test recording I made in the playroom this afternoon with my usual setup of my Earthworks SR77 up close and my Rode NT1-A about a yard away, into Logic Pro X. Just a simple bit on my beloved Taylor 310.

These two chords go way back for me --see this story about "only four words". I love playing those so-called artificial harmonics --a technique I learned from Guitar Player magazine probably 35 years ago-- but I'm no master at it like Tommy Emmanuel. There's another version of this and another related song at the end of my 2008 album refresher: "go / only 4 words"
